She has over thirty years of experience in nursing and public health management, during which she has effectively led health system programs focused on community health, maternal, neonatal, and child health, and health information systems. Her work includes supporting health extension programs, implementing community-based neonatal and child healthcare initiatives, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop strategic guidelines.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) and has built a progressive career at regional, zonal, and operational levels within both government and non-government organizations. Her expertise encompasses equitable health service delivery through human-centered design, team leadership, capacity building, and performance monitoring.
As a public health specialist, she is committed to evidence-based decision-making and enhancing health information systems. In previous roles, including Regional Manager for the Amhara JSI/L10K project and ICCM program coordinator, she provided technical leadership to ensure the implementation of effective reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health interventions, fostering collaboration with regional health bureaus and offering targeted support to health managers and civil society.
