Tirumar Abate Ayalew is the State Minister in the Ministry of Planning and Development of Ethiopia, where she oversees the Monitoring and Evaluation Division. With over ten years of leadership experience in various government institutions, she has cultivated a strong understanding of public sector management and policy implementation. Before her current role, Tirumar served as an economics teacher at a preparatory school, where she inspired students with her passion for education and governance.

She holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Good Governance, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Tirumar is committed to enhancing the effectiveness of government programs through robust monitoring and evaluation practices, ensuring that initiatives meet their objectives and contribute to Ethiopia’s development goals.
